The Luzwe Beauty Pageant is more than just a beauty contest – it’s a chance for young women to find their voice and make a difference in Dutlwe community. The pageant is the brainchild of Mimi Arona Mosekama ” a youngpreneur from Dutlwe village” she describes herself.
A door of opportunity has opened for the young women of Luzwe, thanks to a new sponsorship from Gaborone United College (GUC). The college’s investment in the Luzwe Beauty Pageant will not only bring joy and excitement to the contestants, but also life-changing educational opportunities.
“The purpose of Luzwe Beauty Pageant is to enable young people to bring about positive change in their community. The event promotes the common good and general welfare of Dutlwe Village, and it is an opportunity for young people to showcase their talents, build their confidence, and enhance their education” she explained.
The winner of the pageant will receive a full tuition fee for any certificate course of her choice, courtesy of GUC. The first princess will receive a 50% discount on tuition fees for any certificate course, and the second princess will receive a 25% discount on tuition fees. All participants will receive a 10% discount on any certificate course of their choice.
