Molepolole police are appealing to members of the public to help with any information that can lead to the arrest of the mother whose baby was found in a pit latrine on Sunday at Magokotswane ward.
Station commander Jacob Molapong said the boy is above 8 months and currently under care at Scottish Livingstone hospital.
He was found by a boy who wanted to use the toilet only to hear a child crying inside.
The boy told his elders who reported to the police. The baby was dumped naked.
