The search for a missing taxi driver intensified today as the search party heads to one of the locations he is alleged to have visited before his disappearance.
Kenanao Motswana, the Bakwena taxi driver Secretary says the missing taxi driver Phenyo Jakoba’ s car had blood stains on boot upon recovery on Friday.
Jakoba works as a taxi driver in Molepolole but lives in Thamaga. He did not come home on Thursday and his baby mama called Motswana on Friday morning inquiring about his whereabouts.
The taxi association launched a search and spotted the taxi at Legwatagwata shops.
It is alleged the taxi was sold to one Bakang Masole as he had the blue book the previous day.
However, the three suspects were not yet detained for questioning by the police.
Motswana says the car had scratches and Bakang claimed they went to Mahetlwe with it. He said blood stains which were found on the car were of cattle hooves as the gentlemen alleged they had given a certain oldman a ride who had cattle hooves that left blood stains.
He said the matter was handed to Molepolole police on Saturday and is being handled by CID.
The car was handed is currently in police custody and today marks 6th day since Jakoba went missing.
The public is encouraged to provide the Police with any information that can result in locating Jakoba.
