Particulars of the offence are that on 4th December 2022 at Ditshegwane, accused without any lawful excuse, stabbed 37 year old Teko Dikae with a sharp object on the stomach causing him serious injuries.
Prosecutor Batsalelwang Mosebola said investigations are on going and the victim is fighting for his life at Princess Marina Hospital under intensive care unit with serious injuries to the stomach.
Mosebola said the victim cannot speak and they are yet to record a statement from him. He pleaded with court to remand him as they monitor the condition of the victim. Accused said he was concerned and worried about his employer’s livestock which he left unattended since the day he was arrested.
Magistrate said it is in the best interest of justice to have accused in custody. He will mention on 16 January 2023. A source informed this publication that the accused started the fight by slapping the victim which led to a fight.
