Borakalalo Primary School in Molepolole continues to be a shinning example of excellence in education. Despite the Covid 19 pandemic and other challenges faced by schools, Borakalalo Primary School managed to obtain position 1 in the 2022 Primary School Leaving Examinations amongst all Molepole primary schools.
Yesterday there was joy and ululations as Borakalalo Primary celebrates victory party for the 2022 PSLE graduates. Borakalalo obtained position 1 amongst Molepole primary schools with a pass rate of 84.8%. In 2021 the school also obtained 86% pass rate compared to 78.9% in 2020.
According to the school head, Ms Mothusi Gaoforwe, she said the school achiements are attributable to the hard work by all involved. “We have developed a culture of holding frequent academic meetings with parents, which enables all of us to take part all in our children’s education”,said Ms Gaoforwe.
Speaking at the ceremony the Chief Executive Officer for New Era Collage, Professor Amos Thapisa said, “many at times when the school does well, it is the teacher and students who are recognized, forgetting the school head, but today I want to congratulate the school head”.
Professor Thapisa further said that in efforts to help the government in transforming the country to digitalization they have rewarded the school with STEM KITS and P5000.00 cheque. He stated that the kits will equip students with basic skills in electronics, programming and robotics.
Former Borakalalo Councillor Mr Arafat Khan, who was part of the invited guests advised the students to continue performing well to prepare for a brighter future. He pledged P1000 every year towards the schools prize giving ceremony.
