KGOSI KGARI SECHELE II SCHOOL CELEBRATES EXCELLENCE

Kgari Sechele Senior Secondary School in Molepolole well known for unruly student behaviour and poor performance, yesterday held excellence awards to celebrate the 2022 BGCSE results.

Despite the most challenging period of Covid 19 pandemic the school managed to scoop position 16 out of 34 senior schools nationally with a pass rate of 20.3%. The school also registered  one  National Top Achiver Student namely, Mr Lone Maatla Mosinyi.

The school moved from position 28 to 20 in 2020 and obtained position 19 in 2021 and currently at position 16 after the 2022 BGCSE.

MAA Sub Region Chief Education Officer, Ms Dikeme applauded the Kgari Sechele staff for their commitment and perseverance with limited resources which led to the good results. She mentioned that even with very little budget, the school managed to produce good results, for this she encouraged the school to maintain or improve the results.

For her part the school head, Ms Kebobone said  the school achievement is attributable to the hardwork by all teaching and non teaching staff. “Members of staff are working so hard to build a culture of excellence amongst our students,the behavior of our students has improved tremendously and much appreciated in the village because of Kgari Sechele staff”, said Ms Kebobone.

The excellence awards categories included subjects which reached Kweneng Regional target, House which scooped position 1, special awards to non teaching staff and to all  teachers who scored 50% to 100% in their subjects. The awards ceremony also included the unveiling of Top Achivers Wall of Fame by Minister of State President, Hon Kabo Neale Sechele Morwaeng.
