Peggy Sechele otherwise known as MmaTumagole to Bakwena is a modern queen of class.
She has Masters in Laboratory Medicine and is hoping to go for PhD in 2 to 3 months. “I will be gone for four years,” she said. She is currently working as a lab manager at Scottish Livingstone hospital.
MmaTumagole noted that owing to her full time and very demanding job, it’s challenging to juggle Mohumagadi and her formal employment duties.
“I am free on weekends to accompany my husband to events,” she explained.
On the other hand, she cited her contributions on issues of GBV.
Through the help of other stakeholders, they empowered bahumagadi ba dikgosi to assist victims of abuse.
“My plan is to meet youths because when we call kgotla meetings, they hardly attend as most of them are either at work or school.” As a way to empower the girl child, she has met students in two schools including Kgari Sechele senior for motivational talks.
“I have also gone with Mma Atsile to Maun/Kasane in a bid to empower the girl child.” She is also considering empowering the boy child as well. In that regard, she thanked Minister of Presidential Affairs Hon. Kabo Morwaeng for his continued efforts to engage men on issues affecting them.
“Le batsadi ke bua le bone ka gore nako tse dingwe ba amogela mephuthelwana mo bakapelong ba bana ba bone ba ba farologaneng ba sa kgaleme ka maitsholo ao a ka baka kgokgontsho.”
The soft spoken queen said people have lot of expectations from her and is blessed to have tremendous support from bahumagadi ba dikgosi tsa Mokwena through their committee. “There are projects and invitations i cant attend but delegate. Sometimes bahumagadi attend on my behalf. The expectations are many but i always try my level best”
