Senior magistrate Keabetswe Majuta granted 22 year old Morongwa Lemogang bail on thursday.
Particulars of the offence are that on 12 April 2023 at Tlapeng lands near Lesilakgokong, the accused unlawfully attempted to cause the death of a child by feeding the child with milk mixed with eraditick dip intentionally knowing substance to be deadly.
Prosecutor inspector Thema Marumolo said Investigations in the matter are still ongoing and they are left with recording two witness statements. He told court that a social worker has filed a report which will assist court on the direction to take.
Lemogang applied for bail when given chance to address court. Majuta said she has gone through report filed by social welfare office and is persuaded to grant accused bail.
She was ordered her to attend all counselling sessions, desist from committing any act that can endanger the child’s life, should not interfere with investigations and bind herself with P1000. She will mention on June 15 2023.
