The Good Samaritan Tournament Officially Launched

The fourth Edition of the Annual The Good Samaritan Tournament was officially launched on the 12th of July 2022 by the Member of Parliament for Molepolole South Mr Kabo Morwaeng who is also the main sponsor. The tournament will consist of ten teams competing from the Molepolole south constituency.

Speaking at the launch Mr Morwaeng who is also the Minister of Presidential Affairs stated that it is important for people to take part in sports activities as it encourages healthy living. He further added that apart from health, sports activities encourages unity.

Mr Morwaeng also stated that the tournament will feature HIV testing by Tebelopele, COVID 19 screening and vaccination and also safe Male Circumcision awareness by the Kweneng District Health Management team (DHMT). He indicated that their presence shall improve the momentum of the tournament.

Also at the Launch, a representative of the ten teams, Mr Bathusi Kabo advised the players to prepare so as to ensure that they are ready for the competition.

Lastly Councillor Dorothy Batsile of Molepolole South indicated events such as this are good as they keep young people off the streets adding that they teach good values such as discipline, unity and hardwork.

The tournament is set to start on Saturday the 16th of July and end on Monday the 18th of July 2022. The winners of the tournament will walk away with P4000, the second position will take P3500 and third position will take P3000. The remaining participating teams will walk away with P2500 as an appearance fee.
