The refurbishment and asphalt laying of the Molepolole -Thamaga Road is finally on. The Department of Roads awarded the the tender to a citizen owned company called Felyx Construction at around P50million in February 2022.
The project took off at a very slow and disappointing pace with a small patch from the Thamaga side before it came to a complete halt a few weeks later. The contractor abandoned site. Potholes transformed into little dry dams. The road continued to be a nightmare for road users.
It is a great relief to notice that the project has resumed and even the pace is promising. We can only hope that this time the project will progress to its finality without further and unnecessary delays and hiccups than it has already suffered.
